Best Sophomore Project Award Winner

In our architecture studio, we were asked to design a greenhouse for a campus site.

CONECPT MODEL

Inspired by my aloe plant, I cast concrete, CNC milled form work, and bent acrylic to model preliminary concepts of bio-mimicry and water collection.

Representation Model

This was the next evolution of my concept model further developing the form.

Final Boards

These boards were created with renders from V-ray and compiled on photoshop.

Section Cut Model

My section cut model was completely digitally fabricated. It was designed on Rhino, and was an assembly of laser cut and 3D printed parts.  

Final model

My final model included laser cut parts, a flexible 3D printed roof, and over ten hours of CNC milling.
